On November 28th and December 5th, 2024, PT Geoforce Indonesia held a guest lecture at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Indonesia, specifically for the Geotechnical Construction Methods course. The event was led by Ir. Dandung Sri Harninto, S.T., M.T., IPU., ASEAN Eng., the President Director, and Nadya Dita Ayu Anindita, the Engineering Manager of PT Geoforce Indonesia.

During the guest lecture, Mr. Dandung and Dita discussed topics on Geosynthetics and provided a case study on the Geoforce Segmental Retaining Wall. The presentation covered the definition of geosynthetics, their characteristics, the polymers used in their production, and various types of geosynthetics commonly used in the construction industry. The participants, consisting of Faculty of Engineering students, were highly enthusiastic and engaged in the discussion, showing great interest in the topic.

As part of the event, participants were also invited to join an interactive game with exciting merchandise prizes from PT Geoforce Indonesia, which added to the lively and engaging atmosphere throughout the event. On November 16, 2024, the GI-Tube project at the Semarang-Demak Toll Road welcomed a visit from Keluarga Mahasiswa Teknik Sipil dan Lingkungan, Departemen Teknik Sipil dan Lingkungan, Fakultas Teknik, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). This visit aimed to deepen students' understanding of the industrial world and broaden their perspectives on the application of the theories they have learned in the classroom.

The event began with a presentation from the team at PT Geoforce Indonesia (GI), providing insights into the ongoing GI-Tube project. After the presentation, the program continued with a discussion and Q&A session, where students had the opportunity to ask questions and engage in direct dialogue with the industry practitioners.

The event concluded with a field visit, where students were able to observe firsthand the application process of GI-Tube construction at the project site. This activity is expected to give students a clearer picture of civil engineering work in the field, enriching their experience and preparing them to face challenges in the professional world as capable graduates.

Yogyakarta, 12 October 2024 – Yogyakarta Muhammadiyah University (UMY) held a guest lecture event featuring Mr. Dandung Sri Harninto, ST., MT., IPU., ASEAN Eng. as President Director and Nadya Ayu Anindita, ST. as Engineer Manager from PT Geoforce Indonesia as a resource person. This event aims to provide guidance to students in the field of Geotechnics, especially in the Soil Reinforcement Engineering and Introduction to Geotechnical courses.

In this lecture, the speakers discussed important topics such as the function and application of geosynthetic materials as well as the design of Geosynthetic Reinforced Soil Walls (GSRW) as an alternative to Mechanically Stabilized Earth Wall structures. This in-depth discussion aims to provide practical insight to students regarding the application of the latest techniques in the geotechnical field.

It is hoped that the participation of international practitioners in this guest lecture will have a positive impact on the student learning experience. Yogyakarta, September 28, 2024 – Students from the Master of Civil Engineering program at Universitas Islam Riau visited the Yogyakarta – Bawen Toll Road Project, Section 1. This visit is part of the "Geoforce Goes To Campus" program.

During the visit, the Geoforce Indonesia team provided an in-depth explanation of the GSRW (Geoforce Segmental Retaining Wall) construction process applied to the Yogyakarta – Bawen Toll Road Project, Section 1. Geotechnical experts from PT Geoforce Indonesia elaborated on the methods for constructing mechanically stabilized earth retaining walls using large panel types, offering valuable insights into current geotechnical techniques.

This activity not only provided students with the opportunity to observe the GSRW construction process firsthand but also allowed students and faculty to engage in discussions with geotechnical experts from PT Geoforce Indonesia.

The visit aims to enhance the competencies and quality of students, aligning with the EVP BUMN program theme of "Learning, Growing, and Contributing to Indonesia." It is hoped that this experience will enrich the knowledge and skills of students in the field of civil engineering.

A few times ago, Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa Jama’ah Shalahuddin Universitas Gadjah Mada held a talk show themed “Berani Bermimpi, Berani Beraksi, Berbekal Percaya Diri dan Prestasi”  The event featured Mr Dandung Sri Harninto, S.T., M.T, IPU, ASEAN Eng, President Director of PT Geoforce Indonesia, as the main speaker.

The talk show aimed to encourage new students to develop a resilient mindset and a strong commitment to achieving success. During the session, Mr. Dandung emphasized the importance of maximizing one’s potential and becoming outstanding individuals in various aspects.

Yogyakarta, Sept 7th, 2024 – In order to support Indonesia's vision to become a developed country by 2045, sustainable and high-quality infrastructure development is one of the main priorities. The development of material technology and construction structures opens up opportunities to create buildings that are stronger, more durable and efficient. One technology that is often overlooked but has a crucial role in this is geosynthetics.

Geosynthetics, although often considered simple, play an important role in improving the stability, bearing capacity and drainage of soil in a variety of modern infrastructure projects. To introduce and explore more deeply about this technology, Civil Engineering and Planning Students at the Faculty of Engineering, Yogyakarta State University (UNY) held a National Seminar with the theme "Strengthening the Resilience of Sustainable Infrastructure Towards a Golden Indonesia 2045."

This online seminar was attended by many students. One of the presenters in this seminar was Mr Dandung Sri Harninto, S.T., M.T., IPU as President Director of PT Geoforce Indonesia, he shared in-depth knowledge regarding the function and application of geosynthetic materials. In his presentation, Mr Dandung explained how this material can be used to improve the quality of infrastructure, from highway projects to large building construction.

It is hoped that this seminar will provide new insights and encourage the use of geosynthetic technology in infrastructure projects in Indonesia. By utilizing this technology, it is hoped that infrastructure development in Indonesia can become more sustainable and efficient, supporting the country's vision to achieve developed country status by 2045.
