BERBAGI UNTUK NEGERI “DEVELOPING ENTREPRENEURIAL MINDSET & STARTING A BUSINESS FOR GEN Z”
Makassar, February 22, 2025 – The Alumni Association of Universitas Gadjah Mada (KAGAMA) continues to demonstrate its commitment to community empowerment and the development of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Through its Community Empowerment and MSME Division, KAGAMA organized the "Sharing for the Nation" initiative with the theme Developing an Entrepreneurial Mindset & Starting a Business for Gen Z. The event took place at the Center for Educational Quality Assurance (BBPMP) in South Sulawesi, Makassar.
This initiative aims to instill an entrepreneurial spirit in the younger generation, particularly Gen Z, who hold significant potential in creating business opportunities. Participants received training on the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, strategies for starting a business, and ways to navigate challenges in the business world.
One of the keynote speakers at the event was Mr. Ir. Dandung S. Harninto, ST., MT., IPU., ASEAN Eng., Head of KAGAMA’s Community Empowerment and MSME Division. He is widely recognized for his contributions across various fields, including education, business, and community development. As the President Director of PT Geoforce Indonesia, Mr. Dandung S. Harninto brings extensive experience in industry and strategic national infrastructure development.
In his presentation, Mr. Dandung emphasized the importance of fostering an entrepreneurial mindset from an early age. "The younger generation must have the courage to take risks, creativity to innovate, and perseverance in overcoming challenges. By developing the right mindset, they can create business opportunities that have a broad impact on the economy," he stated.
The event also received support from various stakeholders, including government institutions, educational organizations, and private companies. This collaboration is expected to expand networks and provide greater access for young entrepreneurs in growing their businesses. In addition to training and seminars, KAGAMA’s extensive alumni network—spanning various industries and regions—offers mentoring, coaching, and market access opportunities for participants.
Through the "Sharing for the Nation" initiative, KAGAMA aims to nurture more competitive young entrepreneurs who can contribute to national economic development. This event is more than just a seminar; it is a movement to ignite the entrepreneurial spirit among Indonesia’s youth.
The event took place from 07:30 AM to 12:00 PM WITA and was attended by hundreds of enthusiastic participants eager to gain knowledge and insights into the business world. With a spirit of collaboration and support from multiple stakeholders, this initiative is expected to serve as a stepping stone for the younger generation to confidently embark on their entrepreneurial journey.
