The GI-Tube installed at this location aims to protect the coast from abrasion, restore coastlines lost due to abrasion, and reclamation of beaches. The installed GI-Tube volume is 269 pcs with a length of 900 meters and a height of 1.2 meters. Extreme sea tides and relatively high rain intensity in December are the challenges of this project. The installed GI-Tube has a very small pore size. The size of the pore opening determines whether the filling material remains trapped in the tube or is carried away by the ocean currents. In addition, the permeability of the material is quite good so that the process of removing water from the tube is very fast. GI-Tube high durability and long lasting. GI-Tube is also flexible, it can follow the coastline and land contours. The installation process for GI-Tube is very easy and fast. GI-Tube is very friendly to the environment, does not cause pollution, and can even blend with the surrounding environment when moss and sea plants have grown on its surface.
