The construction of this retaining wall aims to increase the function of the land in the residential area. The GeoFrame that was built has a volume of 1000 m2, with a length of 70 meters and a height of up to 14 meters. This project experienced some challenges, one of them is high intensity of rain. This condition disrupted soil compaction work. But our professional team was finally able to get the job done properly.

GeoFrame is a retaining wall using an ideal reinforcement system consisting of: GI-Strip reinforcement belt, GI-Clamp, Non Woven Geotextile and Galvanized steel frame joined together.

The composition or elements contained in the GeoFrame have the functions and advantages of each.

  • GI-Strip, has high stiffness that serves to withstand forces working on GeoFrame slopes or walls.
  • Geotextile Non Woven, acts as a layer of filtration and drainage which is able to filter fine soil grains so as not to erode however it is still possible for water to escape through the pores or fiber material, so that water seepage on the slope can flowing out.
  • Frame, made of strong galvanized steel high tensile and corrosion resistance over a long period of time more than 20 years. The frame acts as a stiffener and form the slope of the wall according to the design results engineering.

GeoFrame as a soil reinforcement system has the following advantages: More economical and environmentally friendly. The system is simple and easy to apply. The structure is flexible and suitable for earthquake prone areas. Very light structure does not provide additional slope load. Optimizing DMJ (Road Owned Area) or area availability/limitations at construction sites. Optimizing excavated soil around the project site for retaining wall construction materials. Easy and fast to install, and does not require special skills or complex heavy equipment.
