Samarinda – The Indonesian Road Developers Association (HPJI) East Kalimantan once again held its Webinar Series 2 with the theme “HPJI Kaltim Innovates and Provides Solutions.”
This series highlighted the topic “Unpaved Roads”, a concept that has recently attracted attention in the field of construction and road infrastructure development.
The event was conducted virtually via Zoom on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, starting at 2:00 PM WITA until completion, and was open free of charge to all participants. In addition to gaining the latest insights into road technology, attendees also had the opportunity to earn SKPK points and receive an e-certificate as recognition for their participation.
The webinar featured two highly competent speakers. One of them was Ir. Dandung Sri Harninto, ST., MT., IPU, ASEAN Eng., a geotechnical expert who delivered a presentation titled “Unpaved Roads on Soft Soil – A Case Study of Coal Mining in East Kalimantan.” In his presentation, Dandung explained various soil problems and challenges, the condition of coal mining access roads in East Kalimantan, as well as the main issues commonly encountered in the field.
