Geoforce Indonesia Participates in GeoAsia8 Conference in Brisbane, Australia
Brisbane, 10–13 June 2025 — PT Geoforce Indonesia proudly took part in the 8th Asian Conference on Geosynthetics (GeoAsia8) held in Brisbane, Australia, reaffirming its commitment to advancing geosynthetics technology in the region.
GeoAsia8 is a premier regional technical conference and trade exhibition hosted every four years by the International Geosynthetics Society (IGS), through its regional chapter, IGS Australasia (ACIGS). Carrying the theme “Geosynthetics: Pioneering Lasting Solutions for the Earth,” the four-day conference featured a wide-ranging scientific program that highlighted the latest research, innovations, and best practices in the application of geosynthetics for civil infrastructure and environmental sustainability across Asia.
The conference agenda included keynote presentations, technical sessions, IGS corporate case studies, Asian chapter sessions, and oral presentation sessions from researchers, practitioners, and industry players. Participants gained valuable insights into geosynthetics in fields such as mining, transportation, erosion control, and coastal development.

Topic: “Performance of Sludge-Filled Geotextile Tubes to Overcome Muddy Coastal Abrasion”
The study explored the performance of sludge-filled geotextile tubes as an alternative method to address severe muddy coastal abrasion, which remains a significant challenge in many coastal regions.
Through its active participation in GeoAsia8, Geoforce Indonesia continues to strengthen its role as a regional provider of innovative, sustainable, and practical geosynthetic solutions. The company’s involvement in this international forum also served as an opportunity to foster collaboration, expand technical knowledge, and promote Indonesian engineering capabilities on the global stage.
