HI Sobat Geoforce, on Tuesday 18th July 2023, located at the PT Geoforce Indonesia Office, an agreement was made with PT Geoforce Indonesia and Yogyakarta Muhammadiyah University in the field of Education.

This Cooperation Agreement was approved by Mr. Dandung Sri Harninto, S.T.,M.T. as the Main Director of PT Geoforce Indonesia and Mr. Ade Jaya and Mrs. Restu Faiza as the Secretary of Study Program from Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta

The purpose of Yogyakarta Muhammadiyah University visiting PT Geoforce Indonesia is to establish cooperation with MBKM partners in the Civil Engineering Study Program Internship Program, Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta. Meanwhile, the selection of PT Geoforce Indonesia as a partner of Yogyakarta Muhammadiyah University was based on Geoforce Indonesia as a company engaged in the field of construction services and geotechnical specialization as well as many projects that have been completed and also Geoforce Indonesia is a very suitable company for students to study and gain field experience.

The scope of this collaboration includes internship programs, guest lectures, field trips and research for Yogyakarta Muhammadiyah University students. This adds to the row of well-known campuses in Indonesia that have collaborated with PT Geoforce Indonesia.

The scope of this collaboration includes internship programs, guest lectures, field trips and research for Universitas Internasional Batam students.

Friday, 12 May 2023, PT. Geoforce Indonesia held a Halal Bihalal event in commemoration of Idul Fitri and Geoforce Indonesia's 17th Anniversary. The HUT and Halal Bihalal event was attended by all employees of PT. Geoforce Indonesia, both located at the Head Office in Jakarta, the Workshop Office in Bekasi, as well as those currently at the project site. Besides aiming to celebrate the 17th Anniversary together, this halal bihalal also aims to strengthen the brotherhood of the Geoforce Indonesia extended family.

Nimas Puteri as the host opened the Halal Bihalal event along with other employees with enthusiasm, joy and enthusiasm. The gathering event began with a speech by the directors of PT. Geoforce Indonesia, followed by the announcement of the winners of the Video Competition for door prizes and Grand prizes conveying the impressions and messages of employees while working at PT. Last Friday, 3 March 2023 PT. Geoforce Indonesia had the opportunity to become a speaker at a guest lecture which was held offline by the Semarang PU Polytechnic. In this guest lecture, PT. Geoforce Indonesia was represented by Mr. Dandung Sri Harninto as the Main Director as a speaker and was attended by Mr. Prof. Ir. Indratmo Soekarno, APPLICATION OF GEOTECHNIC SCIENCE / SOIL MECHANICS IN THE WORLD OF CIVIL ENGINEERING CONSTRUCTION is intended for PU Polytechnic students and was attended by 175 participants in total. This activity aims as a means of transferring knowledge and experience of PT. geoforce Indonesia regarding the APPLICATIONS OF GEOTECHNIC SCIENCE / SOIL MECHANICS IN THE WORLD OF CIVIL ENGINEERING CONSTRUCTION.

As the speaker, Mr. Dandung Sri Harninto explained about Introduction to General Geological Soil Mechanics and Soil Investigation. Among them consist of General Geology, Types of aid and soil, Soil Investigations, Laboratory Tests. Mr. Dandung also conveyed the Introduction to Geosynthetics which consisted of explanations of Geosynthetics, Types of Geosynthetics and Geosynthetic Functions. In addition, in the final session Mr. Dandung also explained what were the challenges in building Walls with Geosynthetic Reinforcement.

On 9 February 2023, PT. Geoforce Indonesia, represented by the main director, Mr. Dandung Sri Harninto, had the opportunity to be one of the speakers at the WEBINAR HAKI KOMDA YOGYAKARTA : CONCRETE TECHNOLOGY ON EARTHQUAKE RESISTANT STRUCTURE. This Webinar event is a collaboration between HAKI KOMDA YOGYAKARTA and SIPILPEDIA ACADEMY. There are several discussions in this Webinar, including:

• Fiber Concrete by Prof. Ir. Iman Satyarno, ME., Ph.D.
• Requirements for Reinforced Concrete Materials for Earthquake Resistant Buildings by Prof. Ir. Iswandi Imran, M.A.Sc., Ph.D.
• Lightweight Concrete and Its Application on Precast Slabs as an Effort to Reduce Earthquake Loads in Buildings by Prof. Ir. Bambang Suhendro, M.Sc., Ph.D.

The material discussed by Mr. Dandung Sri Harninto is Earthquake Resistant Local Precast Concrete Segmental Retaining Walls With Geosynthetic Reinforcement. In his material presentation, Mr. Dandung gave a brief description of the company Geoforce Indonesia, Challenges for Increasing Local Products, Challenges for Retaining Walls, Geosynthetic DPT Design Process and Solutions using GSRW and GBRW.

Geoforce Segmental Retaining Wall (GSRW) is a retaining wall construction consisting of segmental facing precast concrete, compacted embankment layers, and a GI-Strip belt reinforcement system (made in Indonesia). Meanwhile, we call precast facing walls with smaller dimensions as Geoforce Block Retaining Walls (GBRW). The facing of the GSRW and GBRW walls is made of precast concrete which is printed with high accuracy. Therefore, the use of GSRW is considered to be far more effective, efficient and economical because it uses relatively thin panels and a lighter structure.

On January 25-26 2023, PT Geoforce Indonesia has successfully held a 2022 PERFORMANCE EVALUATION AND 2023 WORK PLAN MEETING. This meeting is intended for all divisions in PT Geoforce Indonesia.

Nimas Puteri as the host opened this Meeting along with other employees with full enthusiasm, cheerfulness and enthusiasm. This meeting began with the giving of remarks from Mr. Puji Widodo as the Main Commissioner and Mr. Dandung Sri Harninto as the Main Director of PT Geoforce Indonesia. The material presented from each division includes performance achievements in 2022 and Work Plans for 2023.

 In this session each Division displays what activities have been carried out and how the performance of these activities is for the company. This event is routinely held once a year at PT Geoforce Indonesia, while the purpose of holding this work evaluation is to correct the deficiencies and obstacles faced by each division and to achieve better company targets in the coming year. This event was also filled with a number of interesting games that honed the cohesiveness of employees and knowledge about the products available at PT Geoforce Indonesia.

"We can certainly realize Green Construction (Green Construction) by minimizing construction's carbon footprint," said the Sales, Marketing & Engineering Director of PT. Geoforce Indonesia Mr. Abdul Aziz Avicenna M.T., as a guest speaker at the Claproyex Talkshow and Expo 6 with the theme "Viewing Green Industrial Area Infrastructure Development Supporting Indonesia's Future" Sunday, September 11, 2022. The event was organized by Clapeyron Media Civil Engineering Student Magazine, University of Gajah Mada it aims that the Indonesian people can enrich their knowledge about the importance of infrastructure development and green areas that are oriented towards Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

On his occasion, Mr. Aziz explained several ways to realize Green Construction by minimizing construction's carbon footprint. Among them, namely, maximizing the use of local products so as to increase the Domestic Component Level (TKDN). Reducing waste production by maximizing the use of materials that can be recycled (Recycle Materials) and trying to minimize the use of iron and concrete and replace them by using the Geosynthetic Technology System.

One of the Geosynthetic Technology Systems that can be applied as an alternative solution to Green Construction is Facing Green using Geoframe. Geoframe is a Retaining Wall Construction Innovation from compacted heap soil with a Geogrid reinforcement system. Geogrids are designed with high durability so they are resistant to organic bacteria and soil acidity. The facing Geoframe is made of a galvanized iron frame which can later be planted with green vines so that it looks neater, beautiful and environmentally friendly, of course this supports the application of the Green Construction concept. The use of the Geoframe system also has other advantages, including a fast installation process, very competitive prices, and very flexible products.-

On Saturday, 20 August 2022, Mr. Dandung Sri Harninto, ST., MT., IPU., as the main director of PT. Geoforce Indonesia had the opportunity to become one of the presenters at a guest lecture organized by the Islamic University of Riau's Civil Engineering Masters Study Program with the theme The Role of Civil Engineering Masters (Geotech and Roads) in Infrastructure Development.

On his occasion, Mr. Dandung explained several important discussions including regarding Alternatives to Construction of Retaining Walls and Slope Improvements Using Geosynthetic Technology as well as discussions on Prefabricated Vertical Drain (PVD), Prefabricated Horizontal Drain (PHD), Double Vacuum System, and Monitoring of Geotechnical Instrumentation. The use of PVD aims to accelerate the release of pore water so that the soil consolidation process occurs more quickly. Soil criteria in question are soft clay, low carrying capacity, and compressible (capable of being compressed). PVD serves to shorten the water travel distance in the soil pores, because water will flow laterally to the nearest canal. This can reduce the time it takes to compact the soil.

Furthermore, there are two alternatives available for Earth Retaining Wall Innovations with Geosynthetic Technology, namely Concrete Facing Geoforce Segmental Retaining Wall (GSRW) and Facing Green using Geoframes. The GSRW system can be used on flyover oprits and is considered to be more effective, efficient and economical because it uses relatively thin concrete panels and a much lighter structure compared to conventional methods. Besides that, the Facing Green or Geoframe system can also be a very safe alternative for high embankment stabilization if it is designed according to standards.
