Yogyakarta — PT Geoforce Indonesia proudly participated as one of the sponsors in the Memorial Lecture of Ir. H. Daruslan, organized by the Geotechnical Laboratory of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY). This event served as an academic platform that brought together practitioners, academics, and students to discuss the latest developments in geotechnical engineering and sustainable construction.

With the main theme focusing on the application of the modified chicken claw system for container yard pavement, the event featured Prof. Harry Christady Hardiyatmo, one of Indonesia’s leading geotechnical experts, as the main speaker.

As part of the event series, Geoforce Indonesia also contributed through a knowledge-sharing session delivered by Mr. Dandung Sri Harninto, President Director of PT Geoforce Indonesia. On this occasion, he presented a topic titled “Reinforced Soil Retaining Wall for Bund Wall of Ash Handling Facility Coal-Fired Steam Power.”

The presentation discussed the application of reinforced soil retaining wall technology as a construction solution for the bund wall area of ash handling facilities in coal-fired steam power plants. It provided practical insights into how geosynthetic technology supports soil stability, construction efficiency, and long-term infrastructure sustainability.

The students showed great enthusiasm throughout the session, reflected in the large number of questions addressed to Mr. Dandung regarding field implementation, construction challenges, and the effectiveness of geosynthetic applications in various project conditions. This interactive discussion highlighted the strong interest of the younger generation in geotechnical innovation and modern construction solutions.

Jakarta — The Global Group family held a Buka Puasa Bersama (Iftar Gathering) as a moment to strengthen camaraderie and togetherness among employees. The event took place on 27 February 2026 at Sotis Residence Pejompongan, Jakarta, and was attended by all employees from various business units under the Global Group.

The event was held in a warm and family-like atmosphere. In addition to being a moment to break the fast together during the holy month of Ramadan, the gathering also served as an opportunity to reinforce the values of togetherness, collaboration, and gratitude for the company’s journey and achievements.

The program began with opening remarks from the President Commissioner of Global Group, Mr. Puji Widodo, who emphasized the importance of maintaining unity and a strong sense of family within the company. In his speech, he expressed appreciation for the contributions of all employees who have played a role in supporting the growth and sustainability of Global Group.

This was followed by remarks from the President Director of PT Geoforce Indonesia, Mr. Dandung Sri Harninto, who highlighted the importance of collaboration, integrity, and shared commitment in facing future industry challenges. The event continued with a Ramadan religious talk (kajian) delivered by Ustadz Biron Yusuf, the Head of Pondok Pesantren Tahfizh Al-Qur’an IQRO. In his lecture, he shared messages about the importance of embracing Ramadan as a time for self-improvement, strengthening faith, and reinforcing the values of honesty and responsibility in daily life, including in the professional environment.

As the time for breaking the fast approached, all participants joined in a collective prayer before enjoying the iftar meal together.

The celebration served as a cross-generational gathering that highlighted the Faculty’s tangible contributions in developing professional engineers who are characterized by integrity, adaptability, and global competitiveness. One of the key highlights of the event was the launch of the book “Cerita di Balik Dinding Hijau Kampus Teknik” (Stories Behind the Green Walls of the Engineering Campus). The book documents the campus development journey, alumni contributions, and various innovations that have shaped the character of FT UGM to this day. Presented in a personal and reflective narrative, it stands as a valuable record of cross-generational collaboration in the engineering field.

As part of the HPTT 80th anniversary celebration, the construction of a retaining wall along the slope of the FT UGM Futsal Field was also carried out to support student activities. This project represents a tangible contribution from alumni, supported by the technology and expertise of PT Geoforce Indonesia. The retaining wall was built using the Geoframe (MSE Wall) system, a modern engineering solution that emphasizes structural safety, construction efficiency, and alignment with green engineering principles. The system is designed to ensure long-term stability while minimizing environmental impact.

The collaboration among alumni, academic institutions, and industry partners reflects a strong commitment to sustainable campus infrastructure development that is not only functional but also future-oriented. This synergy demonstrates how industry engagement in higher education can create meaningful added value in improving facilities and enhancing learning quality.

On the same occasion, the President Director of PT Geoforce Indonesia and Secretary General of KATGAMA, Mr. Ir. Dandung Sri Harninto, M.T., delivered the Herman Johannes Award Decree and presented the official certificates to the award recipients. The awards were granted in recognition of the dedication, contributions, and lasting legacy of engineering professionals who have made significant impacts on the development of engineering in Indonesia.

Carrying the theme “Engineers Managing Motor and Horse Racing: Weaving Competence, Integrity, and Adaptability”, the event featured Mr. Samsul Purba, S.T., Director of Sarga.co and an alumnus of Civil Engineering FT UGM, as the main speaker. The session was moderated by Mr. Ir. Dandung Sri Harninto, S.T., M.T., IPU., ASEAN Eng., Secretary General of KATGAMA and President Director of PT Geoforce Indonesia.

During the discussion, Mr. Samsul Purba shared his professional experience, industry insights, and strategic perspectives on today’s workplace challenges. He emphasized that engineers are required not only to possess technical excellence, but also strong mindset, high integrity, and the ability to adapt to rapid changes.

PT Geoforce Indonesia contributed to the development and inauguration of the Mini Soccer Field at the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FT UGM), which was held on Saturday, February 7, 2026. This project forms part of the campus facility development program and represents a tangible synergy between industry, alumni, and academic institutions.

In this project, PT Geoforce Indonesia played a key role through the application of the Geoframe soil reinforcement system as a primary component of the Mechanically Stabilized Earth (MSE) Wall structure. This technology enhances slope stability and soil bearing capacity, enabling the development area to be utilized safely, efficiently, and sustainably in the long term.

Slope reinforcement works served as the initial phase prior to the construction of the sports facility. Following a well-planned and carefully executed construction process, the Mini Soccer Field has now been completed and is ready for use by the FT UGM academic community.

The project was also supported by several alumni-owned companies affiliated with the Gadjah Mada Engineering Alumni Association (KATGAMA), including PT Geoforce Indonesia, PT Inti Beton, PT Halarag, and CV Unikon. This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to supporting the development of high-quality educational facilities.
